Eva Torremocha

Eva is currently a researcher at the University Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain investigating agroecological/organic farming and climate change with a special focus on social participation and public policies.

She is active in various farmer and consumer movements, mainly in Europe, but also in Latin America, and she has helped to establish and promote Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) in Spain and other Mediterranean countries.

Also directly involved with the Andalusian government, she has advocated for policies favorable to PGS, producers’ markets, women in Organic Agriculture and consumption of organic food in schools, hospitals, etc.

Eva joined the World Board in 2011.
