The Global Landscape: Organic Policies

There is broad consensus that the way food is produced and consumed needs to change. Only then can global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and poverty be addressed. Policies unarguably play a crucial role in driving – or impeding – this change. Fortunately, the number of positive examples of local, national, and regional policies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals is rapidly increasing.

The Policy Summit: ALGOA +4

Together with IFOAM Asia, Asian Local Governments for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA), Goesan County and Chungbuk Province, IFOAM - Organics International will convene next week for the ALGOA +4 International Summit on Organic Agriculture Policy. The summit will bring together policy-makers, organic practitioners, and other renowned experts to share best practices in agriculture-related policy-making. Based on inspiring examples from around the world, they will jointly identify ways to advance policy development and implementation!
