Changes at the Helm: IFOAM - Organics International elects a new vice president
We are pleased to announce the unanimous appointment of Karen Mapusua as our newest Vice President!
Karen will assume the role as the successor to Frank Eyhorn, our current Vice President and Executive Board Member. Frank has been offered a position as the CEO of BioVision. In her new capacity, Karen will serve alongside President Peggy Miars and help spearhead the ongoing work of the 2017-2020 World Board to grow the global organic marketplace, communicate the health benefits of organic, train organic leaders, and facilitate capacity-building across the globe.
Introducing Karen Mapusua
Karen has more than 13 years experience in the organic sector. She has contributed to the development of both the Pacific Organic Standard, the world's first organic standard containing requirements for climate change and mitigation, and the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Community. We are thoroughly impressed with Karen's commitment to the organic movement, and are confident that her record in advocating for truly sustainable food and agricultural systems will serve her well, both in her Pacific Islands home and around the world. We welcome Karen to her new role and look forward to a successful collaboration!

Although we will be saddened to see him go, we wish Frank all the best in his new position as the CEO of BioVision, a member of IFOAM - Organics International. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Frank in new ways!
