NMA Project Representatives Join SUN CSA Workshop in Cambodia

As a result of sustained collaboration in advocacy interventions with the Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Alliance (SUN CSA), two country representatives of IFOAM - Organics International's Nutrition in Mountain Agro-ecosystems (NMA) Project were invited to participate in the recent "Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Civil Society Network Asia Regional Workshop and Budget Analysis Training" by the Pakistani and Kyrgyz SUN secretariat.

Held in Siem Reap, Cambodia from September 18-25, 2019, the workshop was hosted by SUN CSA Cambodia in collaboration with the regional SUN CSA Group and Global SUN CSA secretariat. The overall objective of the workshop was to build capacity of SUN Civil Society Alliances in Asia and thereby effectively advocate for the implementation of multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral nutrition plans.

The event was attended by SUN Civil Society Alliance representatives from across Asia, including:

Two NMA country managers Ms. Shazia Hina, Helvetas Pakistan, and Ms. Gulzada Kudaiberdieva, BioService in Kyrgyzstan, attended the meeting to share their knowledge on the Mountain Agro-ecosystems Action Network and advocacy efforts for nutrition sensitive interventions. Following the regional meeting, participants will work to further disseminate their knowledge through webinars to other SUN SCA members in Pakistan (164 members) and Kyrgyzstan (40 members).
