IFOAM AgriBioMediterraneo

AgriBioMediterraneo received recognition as an official IFOAM - Organics International regional group in 1997.

IFOAM AgriBioMediterraneo (ABM) now encompasses 103 IFOAM Affiliates (Members+Supporters+Associates) from three continents and 16 Mediterranean countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Palestine, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey.

This regional body connects organic agriculture with sustainable development and seeks to promote and disseminate information, knowledge, and expertise related to Mediterranean organic agriculture and sustainable food production.

ABM’s mission is to promote ecologically, socially, and economically sound systems, grounded in the Principles of Organic Agriculture: Health, Ecology, Fairness, and Care.

The establishment of organic agriculture is envisioned as a system that combines tradition, innovation, and science, with the goal of achieving sustainable development.
