Apply to the GROW 2020 Summer School

Applications are open for the “GROW 2020 - Agrobiodiversity in a Changing Climate” Summer School until 1st August, 2020. You can join the course for a fee of 200 euro. It will be held online from 15th - 25th September, 2020, with a focus on the role of biodiversity in agriculture and climate change.

The course will offer live online sessions from 14:00 to 18:00 (Rome time, UTC/GMT + 2 hours) by lecturers from all over the world. In fact, IFOAM – Organics International will be delivering a lecture on the 24th September 2020.

The lecture will explore the principles of organic agriculture, their contribution to other sustainable agriculture initiatives and the SDGs,  as well as organic guarantee systems with a focus on Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS). 

Students who attend at least 75 percent of the scheduled activities will obtain a Higher Education Course (HEC) Certificate of Attendance, and 6 University Credits recognized by the European University system.

The course is organized by the Mountain Partnership Secretariat, in collaboration with the Sapienza University of Rome, the Alliance of Bioversity International and the InternationalCenter for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). 

Admitted participants will be contacted via email and requested to enrol in the Sapienza University information system.
