Bonn, Germany, 12 June 2026 – The team at IFOAM – Organics International was delighted to welcome an eight-member delegation representing Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan at our Bonn office. Comprising leading researchers, organic agriculture experts, certification body representatives, and organic village council farmers, the delegation’s visit formed a core pillar of their week-long organic study tour across Germany.

Given the delegates' technical expertise and grassroots involvement, the meeting served as a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange. The session featured a specialised presentation on organic guarantee systems, sparking dynamic discussions on international certification alignment, local compliance frameworks, and the place of PGS within the Kazakhstan organic regulation.
The delegation also explored the history and global scope of IFOAM – Organics International’s work. To pave the way for future regional advancement, the visitors connected directly with our global policy advocacy team to discuss how Central Asian organic initiatives can better integrate into global policy frameworks.
This visit underscores the growing momentum for climate-resilient, community-led organic movements across Central Asia.
