It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alymkulov Saparbek Ramazanovich. Saparbek was an inspiring and avid supporter of the organic movement who initiated its establishment in Kyrgyzstan (BIO-KG Federation of Organic Development).

Born on 30 July 1960 in the village of Sakaldy, Nooken district, Jalal-Abad region, he successfully graduated with honors from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Osh Pedagogical Institute (1977-1982).  In 1995, he set up professional cooperations with non-profit foreign organizations, attended advanced training courses in the UK, USA and graduated from the IFOAM – Organics International Academy.

I first met Sapar at the OLC 2013 in India. His son Asan, one of our ALGOA OFC trainees, works with Iskender at Bio-KG and is one of the core persons behind the Asia Organic Youth Forum. Sapar was one of the warmest persons I have met and we will miss him.
