We are thrilled to announce that the side events lineup of the 21st Organic World Congress (OWC) in Taiwan is now available. Featuring the theme ‘Cultivating Organic Solutions for True Sustainability’, the OWC will present a diverse program with a wide range of side events accompanying the main conference, which is set to take place between December 2 and December 4. Here is a summary of the side events that will make your trip to Taiwan even more enriching:
Pre-Conferences
Pre-conferences are a series of one-to-two-day events (between November 30 and December 1) that offer longer exchange times for smaller groups of experts and professionals on topics complementary to the main conference tracks. They aim to address organic stakeholders from all over the world.
Bio-Tours
Bio-Tours are independently organized one-to-three-day events during the Pre-Conference period (November 30 – December 1). These tours allow OWC participants to explore Taiwan’s organic agriculture and visit different sites and attractions in Taiwan. The Bio-tour organisers can share their practices and technology of organic agriculture with stakeholders from all over the world.
Workshops
Workshops are independently organised in one or more sessions during the main conference. These sessions allow researchers, farmers, experts, and students to meet face-to-face and have interactive discussions. Workshops address various topics by extending the content of the 4 conference tracks through case studies and group discussion.
There is a range of one-to-two-day Cultural Tours before and after the main conference for participants to dive deeper into Taiwan's cultures and landscape, also known as the ‘Treasure Island’. Discover the Cultural Tours here.
We are working meticulously to develop the program of the main conference. Stay tuned for more news on the keynote speakers and information about the plenary sessions.
