Global Organic Market: Unprecedented Growth in 2020

The latest data on organic farming worldwide will be presented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL and IFOAM – Organics International together with BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food. The statistics yearbook “The World of Organic Agriculture” will be launched on Tuesday, 15 February 2022, from 12 to 1 pm (CET).

BIOFACH to be held from 26 to 29 July

The decision to postpone the trade fair pairing and the accompanying BIOFACH Congress this year was taken on a one-off basis in close consultation with the exhibitors.  

 

Helpline for Certification Bodies and Consultants

The OT4D project is opening an online helpline for local certification bodies as well as local consultants, who are involved in topics related to quality and label standards. The OT4D project supports the development of the organic sectors in Albania, Serbia and Ukraine.

Food Nation’s Global Food Talk

We will join the Food Nation’s Global Food Talk and discuss with leading high-level profiles from the Danish agriculture and food scene about how to reach the high ambitions on increasing the organic agricultural land. Our World Board Member, Paul Holmbeck will represent our organisation in this event.

30 Years of PGS Development: a declaration of the PGS pre conference

The worldwide Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS) community convened on September 6-7, 2021. Read our thoughts on how PGS have evolved since the last time the PGS community gathered. 

A new term for the IFOAM PGS Committee!
